Course Description: This 16 hour course will focus on HVLAT techniques for the cervical, thoracic, rib, lumbar and pelvic regions. Joint stress testing, safety precautions and contraindications will be reviewed. Proper patient set up, joint localization and therapist body mechanics will be emphasized. Manual therapy experience localizing joint and soft tissue barriers is required.

THE FOLLOWING COURSESprovide the student with the tools to safely and effectively perform a biomechanical examination of the specific area of dysfunction. Students will be instructed in relevant functional anatomy and biomechanics and will gain skills in identifying signs and symptoms that require referral to other medical professionals. Treatment will include Muscle Energy Technique, neuromuscular re-education and prescriptive home exercises. High Velocity Low Amplitude Thrust Techniques will be demonstrated but will not be practiced. These courses involves both lab and lecture.
