Manual Physical Therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy delivered with the hands as opposed to a device or machine. During personal one-on-one physical therapy sessions at Crunk Physical Therapy, you can expect any one of or a combination of the the following manual therapy techniques:
Joint mobilization is a hands-on technique involving graded oscillatory movements to joints to restore mobility and function.
A hands-on technique utilizing a high velocity, low amplitude thrust to restore joint movement and function.
Muscle Energy Technique
A hands-on technique requiring a voluntary muscle contraction from a precisely held position in order to gain range of motion and function.
A hands-on technique that utilizes a combination of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) and joint mobilization to increase mobility and function.
Soft Tissue Mobilization
A hands-on technique that restores mobility and function to soft tissues such as fascia and muscles.
A prescriptive meaning they are prescribed for your individual condition and tailored accordingly. Not all problems are alike and thus not everyone needs the same exercises.
Body Mechanics Training
Involves detailed instruction in proper posture with activities of daily living such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching and lifting.
